OUR STORY

In the early 1990’s, a Free Tucker ministry was started as a faith based outreach of King’s Christian Centre. 60 000 meals were dished up to Gold Coast locals at the Mermaid Beach CES & SLSC. A bus was provided through a local community grant scheme & operations were well underway.

“Free Tucker” became CSA (Community Support Agency) & extended to include the local Anglican & Salvation Army churches with their Work for the Dole & Emergency Relief programs. In recent years, PLUS ONE CARE was established at Reedy Creek as the community arm of King’s Church. PLUS ONE CARE continues to focus on valuing local people at their point of need and empowering them to move forward beyond their crisis.
